About the Pastor
Reverend Daniel Flessas is relatively new to Trinity, having served here since June 2010. He is an Elder in the South Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. He received his M. Div. degree from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina. He received his B.A from the University of South Carolina, also in Columbia. He previously served the West Kershaw Charge: Ebenezer UMC, Smyrna UMC, and Salem UMC, in the Lugoff/Elgin area. He worked and assisted in worship at Ashland United Methodist Church in Columbia during seminary.
Daniel particularly enjoys serving the variety of constituencies that worship at Trinity. He has a special passion for those who have been out of worship for sometime, which was his story for 15 years. He enjoys "seeing the lightbulbs come on" as people's beliefs and practices are stretched.
Daniel is married to Deena Flessas. They have two children, Ben and Madeleine. (They highly recommend our Godly Play children's curriculum.)
