Children
Children under 3. We have a nursery for children under 3. We invite you to bring your child or they may remain in worship with you. Location: First Floor of the Carroll Building, to the right of the sanctuary.
Godly Play for ages 3-11. Trinity is a Godly Play congregation. We start our Sunday 10:00a.m. Godly Play curriculum for ages 3-11 on August 21, 2011. We'd love for your children to join us. Location: First Floor of the Carroll Building, to the right of the sanctuary.
We have invested a good bit of time, energy, resources, and training to ensure that this hands-on, discovery-based Montessori-style curriculum will capture your child every class. Imagine your child sitting in a circle learning from the adult storyteller, who uses a "playset" or handcrafted figurines and objects to describe every major Bible story and parable. Imagine your child wondering as the storyteller asks a few questions to prompt your child's thoughts. Imagine having a creative period afterward where your child can model the story with clay, draw something about the story, make something about the story out of construction paper, or even imagine with the playset itself.
Imagine that your child learns about the christian year and colors and what they mean. Imagine that they learn abou the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Holy Baptism. Imagine an environment where your child arrives with great expectations and they are met. Come. Have your children experience God with us through Godly Play.
Note: During the worship hour following Godly Play, we invite children to come to worship with their parents. Godly Play aims to prepare children for worship. So we encourage you to bring them into worship, where beginning August 21, 2011, we plan to have "worship bags" for children. If you desire, children 3 years and younger can also return to the nursery.
Also, parents of children who are in Godly Play from 10:00-11:00a.m. are invited to come to an adult class during the same period, in the Carroll Building.
Youth. We invite youth to participate in our Feasting on the Word curriculum with us.
