Weddings

We at Trinity United Methodist Church would be honored to be part of your marriage.

A wedding is one of the happiest and holiest moments in life.  As you consider establishing a Christian home, our church is eager to provide a setting that upholds the joy and sanctity characterizing the "Service of Christian Marriage."  The church staff and the members of Trinity are willing to do all they can to make your wedding an event worthy of the significant and sacred commitment you bring to your marriage.  Trinity is Charleston’s oldest and most historic Methodist Congregation located in the Historic downtown area and was founded in 1791.  It is also considered one of the most beautiful church wedding locations in the Lowcountry of South Carolina!

Before you make plans or set dates for your wedding, contact the church office at (843) 722-8449 or email us at
273metst@bellsouth.net.  Be certain that the date you desire is available and that our pastor also is available.  Before you place an order for invitations, be sure to check the date with the church secretary's official church calendar in consultation with the pastor. Also be sure first to send in your deposit and completed application.  You may need to make sure a reception venue is available.  Some people plan their wedding on their own and others ask for help from the many capable wedding planners available in Charleston, who can advise you on reception sites, hotels, and attractions.

The staff of Trinity United Methodist Church (Pastor, Organist, Wedding Director, Secretary, and Sexton) is charged with the responsibility of rendering a faithful ministry to those who request it.  Our doors are open to Christian couples who desire a church wedding. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the church secretary/administrator or pastor.  Below are some pictures of weddings at Trinity UMC in Charleston featuring the sanctuary, church garden, portico, and chapel.
